ROGER WADE
as
MARTY ROBBINS
|
Roger Wade began his music career at the tender age of six years old. Starting with rhythm guitar, he soon became proficient on a number of instruments such as piano, bass guitar and drums. Recognized as a consummate professional, this devoted musician was constantly in demand to accompany a host of well known recording artists, including Merle Haggard, Billy Mize, Billy Armstrong, Bonnie Owens, Joe and Rose Lee Maphis, Kay Austin, Sons of the Pioneers and Dolly Parton. This invaluable experience provided Roger with a solid foundation and paved the way for his future success in the music industry. As the years passed, it became evident that Roger's quality tenor voice clearly resembled that of the late, great Marty Robbins. Roger was now ready to devote all his energy and attention to mastering the persona of this most revered country music Legend. Since 1990, Roger has performed as Marty Robbins in major concert venues throughout the mid and western United States, as well as Canada's western provinces where earlier in his career he and his band were nominated for The Canadian Country Music Awards. Roger's popularity flourished throughout Nevada's Casino circuit where, in 2003, he won the 'Tribute Artist of the Year' award for his outstanding portrayal of Marty. Currently, Roger makes his home in Scottsdale, Arizona, where, in addition to his Marty Robbins' Tribute, he and songstress Jeanne Danowski perform state wide in a duo known as Midnight Moon. |
